Wedding location 1: Las Vegas
The entertainment capital of the world is the place to go if you want a quick Elvis style marriage, or an all glitz and glam affair for your wedding day. With an abundance of the extravagant hotels that can take you from Paris to the Pyramids and Monte Carlo to New York, you really could set your wedding scene anywhere in the world, without stepping foot out of Las Vegas.
Wedding location 2: The Caribbean
The Caribbean is an extremely popular place to whisk your loved one off to become the Mrs to your Mr (or vice versa). With numerous islands to choose from such as Barbados and the Bahamas, the Caribbean is a top choice when it comes to getting married abroad. The islands are stunningly beautiful and offer the perfect backdrop of sun, sea and sand for a picturesque beach wedding.
Wedding location 3: Florida
The Sunshine State is nicknamed for that very reason; it’s beautiful and sunny most of the time (although they do get their fair share of downpours). Florida is perhaps best known worldwide as the home of Mickey Mouse; so if you’re a Disney fan what better place to create your magical day than at the happiest place on earth? You could even enhance your princess-style wedding by exchanging your vows in front of Cinderella’s castle.
Wedding location 4: Switzerland
In keeping with the fairytale theme, you could opt for a castle in Switzerland to tie the knot.
Switzerland offers the perfect romantic setting with unique castles, ice caves and not forgetting the stunning Alps. One Swiss custom that you may want to keep is the tradition of arriving at the church on a sleigh or horse drawn carriage. With stunning backdrops and beautiful scenery Switzerland could be your dream wedding location.
Wedding location 5: New York
‘Start spreading the news’… especially if you’re getting married in ‘The Big Apple’. From big and public, to small and intimate, NYC has something for everyone. A few places that are top of our list are the stunning Conservatory Gardens and the famous Central Park Boathouse (featured in many films). Or for something with more history the spectacular Angel Orensanz Center – one of the oldest synagogues in the United States – could be an ideal location. This is also where the glamorous SJP tied the knot.
Wedding location 6: Finland
Dreaming of a winter wonderland wedding? Then look no further than snowy, picturesque Finland. With snow through most of the winter months it makes the perfect location for winter weddings. One truly spectacular location is the Lainio Snow Village located in the Western part of Finnish Lapland. The magnificent village, complete with a wedding chapel, is created every November from of snow and ice (furnishings and all). And if you’re lucky enough, you may even be able to see the Northern Lights to really complete your wedding.
Wedding location 7: Australia
Long for a laid-back wedding? You’ll have sun and smiles all round if you opt for Australia. Beautiful beaches, wonderful wildlife, culture and landmarks, what more could you ask for from a wedding destination? You could even choose an action packed wedding and try out surfing and snorkelling, or relax and take in the breath-taking views of the outback and Ayers Rock.

You could opt for the most romantic city in the world – Paris, and make your pictures truly epic by having the Eiffel tower in the background; or in an elegant châteaux on the French Riviera, before indulging in gourmet food and perhaps some wine from their vineyards. The Seychelles are located in the Western Indian Ocean and has a whopping 115 islands to its name, so you are certainly spoiled for choice. With some of the most spectacular beaches around, this could be a truly tranquil paradise to exchange your wedding vows. With temperatures rarely dropping below 24 degrees centigrade you can enjoy the beautiful tropical climate, on the soft sand beaches.
